Joseph Auer also known as J.Auer normally releases his music on Boltfish Recordings. This time around it’s the affiliated October Man Recordings that is graced with an album release: “9090808800505” now there’s a title for your grandparents to sink their teeth into. On this full-length album Auer continues to explore his take on house influenced electronics. Actually even more so than on his previous releases and I don’t think it’s outrageous to state Larry Heard as one source of inspiration. Once again Mr Auer has put together a collection of tracks directed towards the not-so-afraid portion of the dancing populous. And thereby the 5th October Man Recordings’ release is now a fact (Jun 2005). Apparently there’s a special version of the this album that has been produced for the DBC17 mail order record shop in Japan designated OMR 5J.
