“Wooden Beard” is the title of a highly individual and equally beautiful album release by Expanding’s Flotel. The album contains 12 tracks and in some sense it is the epitome of Expanding Records and their sound: sonic textures produced with very high precision, yet securely removed from the realms of the static and of the cold, music that captures any listener’s imagination, simply with its beauty. After a couple of album releases all rather focused on rhythmic aspects of music, such as Myracaru’s and Lambent’s albums, Flotel returns to what could be described as the sonic core of Expanding.
