The latest full-length offering from Expanding, which release is immanent (Sep 2004) and is signed Myrakaru is entitled “Tammetõru”. It is yet another debut album on Expanding and it seems they’ve made yet another find. The CD contains 13 tracks of rhythmic excursions fused with beautiful melodies and basslines. Just what you would expect from Expanding right? The answer is both yes and no. The Myrakaru album seems slightly more directed towards the beats’ end of things, compared to many of their previous releases. Maybe there’s some kind of Stendec effect involved? That being said in reference to the sound of the recently released Stendec album. Naturally this release shares the quality of any Expanding release by being a very well produced album and being top-notch contemporary and beautiful electronic music. The packaging is as striking as ever! It’s the 16th album release by Expanding… keep counting!
