It is a portable record player that can be run on regular batteries!
It is bright orange, made round about 1972, fully functional and manufactured by the European extraordinary company called: Philips.
Which simply has to be one of the most progressive and R&D oriented companies that has ever existed in Europe* and I mean ever.
The model number is: 523 and the engineering is something else. The functional test was made with the record below and it worked brilliantly!
The Modern Jazz Quartet – Vol. 2: Django / Milano / One Bass Hit, Metronome – MEP 122 – Vinyl, 7″, 45 RPM, EP – Sweden – 1955
Ref. discogs.com as is pictured on the portable plate.
* There are quite a few companies like that in Asia, South Korea and Japan.
