Cactus 1931? I’ve never seen it before.
The Paris Colonial Exhibition (or “Exposition coloniale internationale”, International Colonial Exhibition) was a six-month colonial exhibition held in Paris, France in 1931 that attempted to display the diverse cultures and immense resources of France’s colonial possessions.
“Le Cactus”, architects André Granet and Roger-Henri Expert*.
My grandmother (allegedly) hid in a fountain in central Paris in the late 1920’s, fleeing both the police and avoiding a riot.
I’ll need to investigate the whole thing, but I have absolutely no reason to distrust the original tale.
At the time she was an Au-pair in Paris – and “she” would be my dear Grandmother born in 1911 – and that I know for a fact.
Mm, it is of some importance, that she did turn 101 years’ experienced (never ever ask/tell a women’s age…). It is and will remain indescribable blessings and eternal love!
* Is that by any chance the coolest family name ever? I mean, honestly is your last name: “Expert”? That is just…, I cannot breath right now (I… again I’ve never seen/noticed that before ever.).
