Bitlab Records is a new label originating from Hungary and “Persze Remixes” is their first release. Unorthodoxly the first release is a four-track remix single and the result is a good single indeed. The original track “Soutien Gorge Original” by Soutien Gorge complete with dialog sampled movie, healthy forward moving beats and successfully incorporated acoustic guitars is interpreted by the (to me that is) unknown artists: Cooler and HdjTom. The not so unknown Isan also contributes with an interpretation. Cooler focuses on the rhythmic side of things and clearly has control over the beats’ handling. With bubbly beats and a bassline demanding a head nod, very nice. Isan chooses a down-tempo path and the end-result is beautiful track filled with moving atmosphere. HdjTom has created a broken version of the original track with different treatments of the acoustic guitar as central element, quite chaotic at times, but still interesting. Finally I would like to congratulate Bitlab on the first release and wish them continued success with the label. An extra note for the ultra-sweet CD-print, well done!
